PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Petty Officer 1st Class Bryan Nystrom, a marine science technician stationed at Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg, examines a substance for sampling in St. Petersburg June 9, 2010, during a response call to a report from the National Response Center. A sample was brought to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's Fish and Wildlife Research Institute in St. Petersburg, where it was found to be decaying organic matter.
