NEWPORT, R.I. - (Left to right) Chief Warrant Officers Thomas Guthlein and Kevin Galvin perform a ceremonial personnel inspection on the crew of Coast Guard Station Castle Hill during a change of command ceremony Wednesday, July 1, 2009. During the ceremony, Guthlein took command of Station Castle Hill from Galvin, who retired immediately following the change of command.
Galvin also passed his title of Coast Guard Ancient Keeper on to Guthlein. Guthlein is the third person in the service to bear the title, which recognizes a Coast Guardsman with outstanding performance and longevity of service in boat forces operations.
