NAVAL STATION GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBA (March 11, 2009)-Boat crewmembers from Coast Guard Port Security Unit (PSU) 305 do a risk assessment prior to night operations this evening in Guantanamo Bay. The Fort Eustis, Va.-based unit has been providing anti-terrorism and fleet protection here since November. Their mission includes patrolling the waterways around Naval Station Guantanamo Bay and providing internal security during the commissions at the Expeditionary Legal Complex. The crews conduct assessments like this one before every mission in order to measure and mitigate factors such as environmental hazards, mission threats, and crew fitness.
