ATLANTIC OCEAN - Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Brett H. Lineweber, a store keeper from the Coast Guard Cutter Thetis, is getting handcuffs removed by Able Seaman Gillingham, from the HMCS Montreal (336), during a mock boarding exercise for UNITAS Gold. During the exercise, the Canadian boarding team searched the Coast Guard Cutter Thetis for illegal goods. Lineweber is wearing civilian clothing to simulate being a crew member of a fishing vessel. UNITAS Gold is a multi-national exercise held to foster good relations and cooperation between the U.S. and participating nations. Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Germany, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay are also participating in UNITAS Gold, which runs from 20April-5May off the coast of Jacksonville Fla.
