ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Aug. 14, 2008) -- The crew of the HH-65 Dolphin helicopter that conducted rescue operations alongside other Coast Guard assets during the Alaska Ranger case are honored for their efforts at the Alaska Coast Guard Foundation Dinner Thursday. The crew was awarded the heroic action award. Pictured are Lt. Greg Gedemer, pilot, Petty Officer Third Class Abram Heller, rescue swimmer, Vice Adm. David Pekoske, commander Pacific Area, Rear Adm. Gene Brooks, commander Distict 17, Anne Brengle, president Coast Guard Foundation, Lt. Timothy Schmitz, pilot, and Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard Charles Bowen.
