SEATTLE (Jan. 8, 2008) Captain Marc Lashua is presented to the Coast Guard Meritorious Public Service Award for his role as captain of the fishing vessel (F/V) Sunset Bay during the rescue of the sailing vessel Luck Dragon on October 3, 2007. The Coast Guard Meritorious Public Service Award is the second highest award the Coast Guard can present for unusual courage in the advancement of Coast Guard missions (search & rescue).
