San Francisco, January 2, 2008 -- Heavy equipment is used Wednesday to remove the piece of Bay Bridge fender from Half Moon Bay that washed ashore in Decemeber. The fender detached after the Cosco Busan allided with the bridge in November. After inspection by the Coast Guard, the fender was pushed across the beach and then removed by ramp to be disassembled.
