Saflin, 20, a Coast Guard Boarding Team member off of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Boutwell, homeported in Alameda, Ca., climbs the ladder to board the Pantanasia, a tanker ship from the Bahamas enroute from Kuwait to Iran. Coast Guard boarding teams are searching vessels in the Gulf region for weopons, terrorists and Iraqi military personnel in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
