SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (March 2007)--Coast Guard Station San Francisco crewmembers onboard a 41-foot small boat escorts the Sailing Vessel Elizabeth Mulh from Alcatraz to a pier in San Francisco after they struck a buoy. U.S. Coast Guard Photo

The s/v Elizabeth Mulh radioed a may day call after it began taking on water due to their collision with the buoy. The sailing vessel's pump was able to keep up with the water leak and they made their way back to pier 45 under Coast Guard escort. (U.S. Coast Guard photo by PA2 Brian N. Leshak)
