A U.S. Coast Guard vessel named 'KISKA' is operating in open blue waters near a steep, green coastal cliff. The white cutter is actively crewed, with personnel visible on deck wearing safety gear, and appears to be engaged in an operational mission. An American flag and what appears to be a Coast Guard ensign are flying from the mast.

HONOLULU, Hawaii (June 20)--The Coast Guard Cutter Kiska (WPB-1336) gets underway June 20 from Molokai Island after spending a night in "hiding" during a RIMPAC 2000 exercise. The Kiska, and her sister ship Assateague, were the only two Coast Guard assets able to participate in the multi-national exercise that supports the Coast Guard's national defense role.
