Port of Everett, Wash. (June 3) -- The 82-foot cutter Point Doran (WPB-82375) is stationed in the Port of Everett, Wash. The Point Doran was built in the Coast Guard Shipyard in Curtis Bay, Md., at a cost of $500,000 and was commissioned on June 1, 1970. Though these durable cutters continue to prove themselves efficient and seaworthy vessel, they are now being replaced by the newly designed 87-ft. Coastal Patrol Boats (CPB), the Marine Protector Class. USCG photo by PA2 Sarah Foster-Snell
