San Francisco, CA (Nov. 12)--A Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) Controller in San Francisco updates a chart constantly of the vessels that transit through the Bay area waterways. The mission of the VTS is to coordinate the safe and efficient transit of vessels in San Francisco Bay in an effort to prevent accidents and the associated loss of life and damage to property and the environment.
