HOUSTON, Tex. (Sept. 24, 2005)--A Coast Guard helicopter crew from Air Station Clearwater, Fla., rescued six people today who were stranded in various places due to Hurricane Rita. Left to right is Lead pilot Lt. Cdr. Jeff McCullers, co-pilot Ltjg. Jesse Culver, rescue swimmer Jason Edmiston and flight mechanic James Reid. The rescues occured at a courthouse, second-story balcony of a house and the back of a pickup truck. The crew is in Houston as part of a unified command in response to Hurricane Rita.
