Indian Creek, MD (May 1)--Crewmen offload soiled boom and absorbent pads from a boat used to transport contaminated materials from the spill sites. Over 200,000 lbs. of oily debris was removed from the spill sites in the first two weeks of the response. The spill was a result of a faulty pipeline that leaked 111,000 gallons of oil into Swanson Creek, near the Pepco Power Plant in southern Maryland. USCG photo by PA2 Angel Deilmer
