Apple Valley, Calif., native Spc. Jacob McIntyre (left), a signal support specialist for the 82nd Sustainment Brigade-U.S. Central Command Materiel Recovery Element, picks up a bull horn during the KAF Kart race Nov. 9 on the Kandahar Airfield boardwalk. While running the race, McIntyre competed against military service members from various units on the base. The fun run was inspired by popular video games and allowed competitors to pick up various “power up” items that would give them an advantage such as bull horns, dodge balls and bicycles.
