Commodore John Moore, exercise director and deputy commander, Joint Task Force, Sea Breeze 2008, greets Lt. Martihovik Jovica, Macedonian platoon leader, as he arrives at the Shiroky Lan training camp. The Macedonian platoon is conducting joint training with the Ukrainian army as part of Sea Breeze 2008. Sea Breeze 08 is an invitational joint and combined maritime exercise with the goals of enhancing multinational interoperability, developing Black Sea-nation maritime security capabilities, and improving involvement in the larger Black Sea theater security cooperation strategy. Sixteen participating nations in the 11th annual exercise include the Ukrainian hosts and Armenia, Azerbaijan, Canada, Denmark, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Macedonia, Norway, Romania, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States.
