In the shade of night, a pair of Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles secured to one another with tow lines are ready to move out. Soldiers of the 1230th Transportation Company practiced Hasty Hook-Up, movement drills, and conducted convoy Tactics, Techniques and Procedures to sharpen their skills in preparation for the following day’s mission, Oct, 12, 2013, at Camp Marmal, Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan. The 1230th TC Soldiers are on a 10-month deployment in Afghanistan supporting logistic convoys, in support of the 524th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, Commanded by, Lt. Col. James M. Droppleman, Regional Command North, Afghanistan.
