Zofia Soltys (blue shirt) starts the boat engine to transport children in the base marina’s water sports class back to the shore Oct. 2, 2013. The group recently took a trip to Chinaman’s Hat, exploring the area’s beach and sea life. The monthlong class meets weekly in three-hour sessions, visiting several areas around Kaneohe Bay to learn water sports.
