Machinery Repairman 1st Class Nathan Kopp, right, and Machinery Repairman Fireman Bradley Widby, both assigned to the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), cut a commutater using a lathe in the machine shop. A commutater is used to produce an electrical current for shipboard power aboard submarines.
