Trust among service members is crucial when operating in combat situations and back in the states. Unfortunately, sexual assault is a real and present problem in the military and directly impacts that valuable trust. To combat the issue, 1st Armor Brigade Combat Team, 3rd ID, is piloting a new program, “Bystander Intervention Training,” aimed at encouraging the majority of soldiers, who may not be directly involved in an incident, to intervene and help prevent future occurrences.
