Military working dog Luxi, exits the sheriff’s cruiser during vehicle pursuit training at Oñate High School, Las Cruces, N.M., June 19. During vehicle pursuit training, the officer pulls up on a fleeing suspect and remotely opens the rear cruiser door allowing the dog to pursue and detain the suspect. The Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department teams up with the K-9 handlers from Holloman Air Force Base once per month to conduct additional training for both the MWDs and their handlers.
