Chief Warrant Officer Daryn Bartlett, assigned to Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) Reserve Unit 301, Everett, Wash., teaches a Security Plus certification class to Information Systems Technicians from 11 different San Diego area afloat and shore commands. The students will test for Security Plus certification upon completion of the class and if successful, will be immediately qualified to begin work on their command servers. As the Navy's Information Dominance systems command, SPAWAR sends fly-away network operations support teams to fleet units to provide tailored information technology and information assurance/security training required to maintain command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) readiness.
