This technical drawing shows Raystown Dam's low-level outlet tunnel system, where divers are currently working 170 feet underwater to remove old bulkheads and install new trash racks at the upstream portal (U/S Portal). The tunnel system, which includes multiple vertical steel slide gates, allows controlled water releases through the dam. Marine Diving Solutions contractors are performing preparatory work in support of the gate systems before new slide gates are fabricated and installed over the next one to two years. The drawing shows a cutaway view of the tunnel for illustration purposes. (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers)
