North Wind 2015 is a two-week bilateral field training and command post exercise to increase combat readiness and interoperability amongst U.S. Army personnel and the JGSDF to respond to a wide range of crisis contingencies in the Asian-Pacific region. This year, for the first time the 25th Infantry Div., US Army Alaska with partner with units of the JGSDF in a US - Japan airborne operation using Japanese aircraft.
