Operation Noble Eagle (ONE) is the name given to the military response to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, and applies to all national air sovereignty missions. The ONE mission has an emphasis on the surveillance and control of airspace over Canada and the US. Prior to 9/11, NORAD's focus was on external threats - the ONE mission focuses on the internal threats within our sovereign airspace.
