Camp Pendleton firefighters along with firefighters from CAL FIRE and surrounding fire authorities conduct training every year in preparation for the up coming fire season. Training includes controlled burns, heavy equipment operations, and air drops. Neighboring fire departments use Camp Pendleton’s fire operations as a resource to train and improve firefighting tactics they wouldn’t otherwise implement.
