General Herbert Carlisle, commander of Air Combat Command, has declared the<br /> F-35A Lightning II "combat ready." The fifth-generation fighter has reached<br /> initial operational capability, having reached several milestones including<br /> the ability to deploy and conduct operational missions as well as having all<br /> necessary logistics and operational elements in place. Hill Air Force Base,<br /> along with the 388th and 419th Fighter Wings, is proud to host the F-35A<br /> Initial Operational Capability Ceremony on August 5th, 2016.
