Southeast Asia Cooperation and Training (SECAT) is a multilateral exercise that focuses on maritime security operations. This is the 17th annual SEACAT exercise with navy liaison officers from Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and the United States training together and focusing on multilateral maritime security and interdiction scenarios.

Pete Hegseth is the 29th secretary of defense, sworn in on Jan. 25, 2025. A graduate of Princeton University in 2003, Hegseth was commissioned as an infantry officer in the Army National Guard. He participated in several active-duty deployments during his time in service, including operations in Guantanamo Bay, Iraq and Afghanistan.
