U.S. & Cameroonian troops joined forces with West African & European leaders to conduct the combined, joint exercise Unified Focus in Douala, Cameroon. The exercise will take place in March, 2018 giving regional leaders an opportunity to rehearse coordination efforts to counter violent extremists organizations in the Lake Chad Basin.
Unified Focus is designed to enhance and enable Lake Chad
Basin Commission nations to support the Multinational Joint Task Force
(MNJTF) counter-Boko Haram operations.
