Hurricane Exercise (HURREX) 16 is a North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) exercise to test NORAD and USNORTHCOM’s response to a simulated category 3 or category 4 hurricane making landfall on the Texas coast. HURREX 16 is one of the field components of Ardent Sentry, a USNORTHCOM exercise focusing on simulated weather, security and disaster contingencies.
