Guardian Sea is a USPACOM sponsored, PAC Fleet lead bilateral exercise designed to enhance the professional relationships between the US Navy and the Royal Thai Navy and improve the ability of both navies to conduct anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and operations in a shallow-water environment. The exercise consisted of a robust in port phase of information exchanges, briefings, and simulator training and an at sea phase where aircraft from each nation practiced ASW against a simulated submarine.
