On February 24, 1918, the Estonian Salvation Committee proclaimed Estonia
to be an independent democratic republic in the ‘Manifesto to the Peoples
of Estonia.’ This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Republic of
Estonia. During the national anniversary week, key events celebrating the
independence of Estonia will take place all over the country. On February
24, 2018, the Independence Day military parade will take place in Tallinn,
Estonia. Overall, more than 1,100 people and almost 100 pieces of
equipment will participate -- including U.S. personnel and equipment from
