Eight United States Air Force F-15E Strike Eagles and approximately 130 personnel from the 48th Fighter Wing, Royal Air Force Lakenheath, will participate in the NATO Tactical Leadership Programme 16-3 at Albacete Air Base, Spain, from Sep. 12 to Oct. 7, 2016. The 48 FW's 494th Fighter Squadron will participate in flying training with other NATO allied air forces. This multi-lateral training will focus on preparing flight leaders to become coalition air force mission commanders with instruction on tactical composite air operations and opportunities to develop tactical air expertise. Training programs like this are essential to building cohesiveness, improving interoperability and tactical understanding among allied air forces.
