Sailors were given a rare opportunity to peek behind the curtain of the development of the most lethal, accurate, and reliable sea-based strategic deterrent on the planet: The Trident II D5 LE missile. <br /> <br /> Sailors who attended Program Management Office (PMO) Flight Systems’ (SPF) Reverse Strategic Weapons System (SWS) Week between Aug. 17-21 were handpicked from ballistic missile submarine (SSBN) crews on the East and West Coasts and sent to Magna, Utah, where they had the opportunity to interact with the weapon system and the technical experts who design them.
