The First Army Pershing Cup is the U.S. Army Forces Command's (FORSCOM) annual Best Observer/Controller/Trainer (OC/T) competition to assess and showcase the technical, tactical, physical, and mental skills of the Army's best warfighting advisors. The competition is named after General of the Armies John J. Pershing, the first commander of First Army. Competitors undergo rigorous tasks designed to test their leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities, with the goal of identifying the most capable and proficient OC/Ts in the Army to enhance Soldier lethality and readiness.
