Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital is proud to host the FY26 Medical Readiness Command, West Best Medic Competition — a premier event designed to promote esprit de corps across MRC, W and Army Medicine while recognizing Soldiers and NCOs who live the Army Values and embody the Warrior Ethos.
This demanding two-Soldier team competition physically and intellectually challenges the best medics in the command through a series of realistic, operationally focused scenarios. Over several days, competitors will demonstrate advanced trauma care under fire, land navigation, water survival, tactical combat casualty care, ruck marches, and more — all designed to test their technical skills, physical endurance, and mental toughness.
By hosting this event at the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, BJACH underscores its commitment to training a medically ready, resilient, and responsive force — ensuring Soldiers remain mission-ready and warfighters can do their jobs knowing they are in good hands if wounded.
