Beyond the Horizon is a U.S. Southern Command sponsored, U.S. Army South planned and led humanitarian and civic assistance exercise. The exercise lasts for several months and provides construction and medical assistance to partner nations throughout the Central and South America and Caribbean regions. The exercise is a major component of the U.S. military's regional engagement efforts and affords a unique opportunity to train U.S. service members alongside partner nation personnel, while providing needed services to communities throughout the region.

Beyond the Horizon 2015 - El Salvador will have U.S. forces working hand-in-hand with a variety of Salvadorian military, governmental and non-governmental agencies to provide medical and engineering support to local populations.
