Military kennel building named in honor of Sgt. Joshua R. AshleyClose friends, family, and Marines who knew Sgt. Joshua Ashley came to Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, March 27, 2015 to pay their respects to him while attending the commemorative naming of 2nd Law Enforcement Battalion’s Military Working Dog Kennel Building, which was named in his honor.

Women do heavy lifting at MCLBBForget the stale jokes about women drivers, or the hard-scrabble tales of women proving themselves in a "man's world." These women push around tanks and personnel carriers just like one of the guys, and make good money doing so. Kerry Eaton has been working at the Production Plant Barstow, Marine Depot Maintenance Command doing just that for a decade. Sure, some of the guys were taken aback at first by a woman in a man's job. "But the women would stop and say, 'You make us look good,'" said Eaton. And now she sees them as family.


15th MEU Marines, Essex ARG complete COMPTUEX
U.S. Marines with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit embarked aboard the Essex Amphibious Ready Group’s three ships March 16-April 1, for Composite Training Unit Exercise, or COMPTUEX, off the coast of San Diego. These at-sea periods prior to deployment integrate the MEU and the ARG as a single unit and develop a stronger bond while executing full-mission profiles aboard the USS Essex (LHD 2), USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and the USS Rushmore (LSD 47).
