Medics battle for bestFORT HOOD, Texas – Shuffle. Shuffle. Crunch. Crunch. Shuffle. Shuffle. Crunch. Crunch. The sound of the Army Combat Uniform rubbing against itself mixed with the sound of boots maneuvering down the gravel path, as 12 First Team Soldiers traversed a journey of 12 miles in less than three hours.

It’s a picture many couldn’t imagine; but at Fort Stewart, Ga., that was the scene April 29 for a select group of Soldiers who completed the Sling Load Inspector Certification Course.
