On this Pacific Pulse: Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the United States marked the opening ceremony for Freedom Edge 2026 at Yokota Air Base, Japan. U.S., Republic of Korea, and Indonesian Marines, have conducted an urban terrain raid exercise as part of exercise Super Garuda Shield 26 near Lampung, Indonesia. U.S. Army Gen. Xavier Brunson, commander of United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command and U.S. Forces Korea, visited guard post and general outpost units along the eastern front to review the operational situation in the Demilitarized Zone and inspect frontline security and operational readiness.
