NAVAL STATION ROTA, SPAIN (February 17, 2026) Naval Station (NAVSTA) Rota Command Master Chief Donald Alvarado joins AFN Rota for his monthly radio show, "CMC Super Show," accompanied by Richard Matthews, U.S. Navy Yeoman Chief, and Colby Jones, U. S. Navy Master-at-Arms Chief, to talk about the new Navy fitness requirements. Later he was joined by Cmdr. Jeffrey Parks, U.S. Navy Chaplain, and Johnathan Nannery, U.S. Navy Religious Program Specialist 2rd Class, to talk about spirituality and mental resilience. As the "Gateway to the Mediterranean," NAVSTA Rota provides U.S. NATO and allied forces a strategic hub for operations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
