U.S. Navy and Marine Corps forces integrate sea and land-based training during an Amphibious Landing event on Sept. 20, 2016 for Exercise Valiant Shield 2016. USS Germantown and USS Bomhomme Richard offload various Assault Amphibious Vehicles carrying dozens of combat troops and LCACs (Landing Craft Air Cushions) carrying armored vehicles seized the beach landing site and conducted a mechanized raid at Orote Point Airfield on Naval Base Guam.
