ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Coast Guard Sector Anchorage watchstanders respond to a broken and almost unreadable mayday call from the crew of the 26-foot pleasure craft Mary Kay, which was grounded on the south shore of Knight Island after the boat hit a rock and started taking on water June 7, 2011. After several attempts to clearly understand the call for help, watchstanders received assistance from the crew of the fishing vessel Panama Jack who relayed essential information about the Mary Kay and also responded to the stricken vessels location.
