SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine- The Coast Guard is seeking assistance today regarding an uncorrelated distress call near Penobscot Bay, about one mile off the coast of Maine.

Around 4:15 p.m., today, Coast Guard Sector Northern New England received a radio distress from a man claiming to be aboard a boat that had run out of gas between Camden, Maine, and Lincolnville, Maine.
