First Lt. Christopher Persons is the leader of 1st Platoon, Bravo Company, 1-64 Armor. He's led his men since pre-deployment training, and has been reassigned after a year with the company. He leads one final foot patrol with Afghan and American soldiers through a local village outside of a small forward operating base in southern Afghanistan. No enemy contact is made during the patrol.
