The Joint Security Academy Southwest is located on Camp Leatherneck in Helmand province, Afghanistan. The academy's primary mission is to build up the Afghan National Security Forces, to eventually ensure a smooth transition of responsibility to the people of Afghanistan. According to JSAS staff, there is always something going on. Marine Corporal Nate Carberry tells us about a few classes who recently graduated from JSAS.
