An F/A-18 Hornet aircraft lands at Clark Air Base, Republic of the Philippines April 4 for the upcoming exercise Balikatan 2013. The exercise is an annual bilateral training evolution that helps maintain a high level of interoperability and enhances military-to-military relations, combined combat capabilities, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. The aircraft is with Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 533, Marine Aircraft Group 31, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, II Marine Expeditionary Force, currently attached to Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st MAW, III MEF under the unit deployment program.
