An F/A-18 Hornet aircraft remains parked after landing at Clark Air Base, Republic of the Philippines April 4 for the upcoming exercise Balikatan 2013. The exercise, in its 29th iteration, is an annual bilateral training evolution aimed at ensuring interoperability of the Philippine and U.S. militaries during planning, contingency and humanitarian assistance operations. The aircraft are with Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 533, Marine Aircraft Group 31, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, II Marine Expeditionary Force, currently attached to Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st MAW, III MEF under the unit deployment program.
