The company is there to receive a prestigious armor award, the Draper Armor Leadership Unit award. Established in 1924 by Lt. Col. Wycliffe P. Draper, “to promote combat leadership in the cavalry of the Army of the United States,” the Draper award recognizes those outstanding Armor leaders who have demonstrated remarkable initiative and exceptional fortitude in the areas of doctrine, tactics, training, and mentorship.
