Capt. Jared Graham, commander, Company C, 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, and his guidon bearer present arms as the national anthem plays for all in attendance at the Jordan Fitness Center here, Feb. 19. They are there to receive a prestigious armor award, the Draper Armor Leadership Unit award. Established in 1924 by Lt. Col. Wycliffe P. Draper, “to promote combat leadership in the cavalry of the Army of the United States,” the Draper award recognizes those outstanding Armor leaders who have demonstrated remarkable initiative and exceptional fortitude in the areas of doctrine, tactics, training, and mentorship.
